Our Founder

Syedor Rahman (Sye)

I was born in sunny London and spent most of my life in the UK until 2023 when I took the plunge to move to even sunnier Dubai!


I have held various positions throughout the past 15 years in the data space and have experienced firsthand the evolvement from using megabytes of data for key financial and KPI reporting to now using petabytes of data to drive AI solutions that help us to have a better understanding of our customer's behaviours close to real-time.


I spent my early years writing ETL scripts, creating dashboards that had that WOW factor, then slowly moved into a more strategic role when I set up my freelance consultancy in the UK, which I successfully ran for 8 years helping managed service providers to deliver large portfolios of projects for corporate organisations within financial services, supply chain, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals to name a few.


Over the past four years I have held several senior management positions in financial services organisations driving the momentum towards data driven decision making strategies.


I have been fortunate enough to work with some amazing technically gifted individuals and strategic resource partners which I bring with me on this new chapter at Datasense.


I feel the MENA region is full of optimism towards the future of how we will use data and AI to transform the way we do business with a clear emphasis of becoming a globally recognised AI hub.


I have always believed that no matter how big or small your business is, having the access to make data driven decisions in this era is the key to growing your business.


I started this project with the sole aim to help organisations gain access to the power of AI solutions with whatever challenges we face along the way.
